Acne Skincare – Tips To Clearer Skin
Many people suffer from adult acne, but despite this acne is still seen as a teenage problem. We all think we will outgrow it but many of us don't. This article gives you the best skincare routine you can give your skin to help prevent breakouts and keep your skin looking clearer.
Unless you have a job where you get very dirty and mucky, your adult acne is not due to dirt clogging your pores. Acne zits are inflammations in the skin so no matter how much cleaning you do this will never remove acne.
In fact if your skin care routine is too intense, you can actually make your adult acne worse. The best thing to do is to keep your adult acne skin care routine to a minimum.
1. Use a mild cleanser or just water to wash your face.
Try to avoid harsh cleansers or chemicals when it comes to face care. Using something hrash will dry out your skin and irritate it. This can trigger the bacteria under your skin to produce more sebum and this can block your sebum canals. When these are blocked you will get an accumulation of sebum which will also irritate the skin and thus create even more sebum! When the canals are blocked, bacteria will cause inflammation and you will have a break out. Thus, harsh cleansers just make the problem worse.
2. Avoid Moisturiser
Traditional moisturisers contain chemicals that attract water. This leads you to retain water in your skin and thus causes sebum canals to pinch off (acne). This is exactly what you want to avoid!
3. Use Oil As An Alternative
To protect your skin from dehydration and flaking use an oil instead of moisturiser. This is much more effective. All you need is a fingertip of oil - this is enough to spread over your entire face. I have had greatest success with walnut oil and recently coconut oil. I prefer coconut oil because it smells lovely. I bought some unprocessed coconut oil from Ebay and have had great success with it.
